AION 2 Build Planner
A plan-first reference for building any AION 2 character: how the skill point economy works, when Stigma slots unlock, how every class's 36 skills are structured, and which core skills our per-class guides have verified. The interactive allocator ships once point-cost tables are cross-verified between sources — everything on this page is readable, sourced, and dated now.
Where the data comes from
Every structural fact below is cross-checked between two independent skill databases for the global version — the fextralife AION 2 Wiki (updated October 9, 2026) and wikily.gg's AION 2 skill pages — plus our own multi-source class guides. Where the two databases disagree with player-guide numbers, the conflict is shown rather than resolved. No number on this page has been verified in the game client by this site.
Skill points: how the economy works
| Rule | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Raising one skill from level 1 to 10 | 21 points total (the last three levels cost 4 each) | Both databases |
| Points at level 45 | 203 (database) vs ~300 (creator guide, including faction dungeons) | ⚠️ Conflict shown, not resolved |
| Maxing every skill on one class | 462 points — impossible without Wisdom Stones | Both databases |
| Defiance unlock | Level 16 | Both databases |
The practical consequence both databases agree on: you cannot max everything, so a build is a budget. The Daevanion boards (below) are how skills go past level 10.
Stigma slots: the 22 / 27 / 32 / 37 ladder
Stigma slots unlock at levels 22, 27, 32, and 37 — one per milestone, four equipped in Season 1 global (regional servers have since moved to six, so regional screenshots will not match your UI). Our Cleric and Sorcerer build pages document the stigma picks the community converges on, and where the guides disagree.
Class skill structure: 288 skills, 36 per class
Each of the eight launch classes carries the same skeleton: 12 active skills, 10 passives, 13 Stigma skills, and a dodge — 288 skills across the launch roster, each with its own entry and cooldown in the structured databases. Because the skeleton is shared, a planning habit from one class (budget core skills first, skip Defiance levels, respect break points) transfers to the next class you level.
Verified core skills by class
These are the skills our per-class guides cross-checked across multiple independent community sources (full synthesis tables linked on each page). They are the first entries this planner treats as "verified"; the other five launch classes join as their guides clear the same bar.
| Class | Core skills the sources agree on | Build page |
|---|---|---|
| Gladiator | Overhead Slam (level 16 breakpoint), Rending Blow, Keen Strike, Sword Aura Rampage, Wrathwave, Zikel's Blessing, Rage Burst. Point priority (community reports): Overhead Slam to 16 dominates everything; Rending Blow second; Keen Strike's light-attack weaving next; Daevanion nodes on all three core skills before any utility passives. | Gladiator build |
| Sorcerer | Hellfire, Blaze, Firestorm, Bitter Cold, Wish of Concentration (level 16 breakpoint), Flame Arrow, Elemental Enhancement. Point priority (community reports): Wish to 16 first — it moves from the front of the rotation to the end; then Flame Arrow, Firestorm, Blaze, Bitter Cold; Hellfire stays at the +30% damage specialty rather than its level 16. | Sorcerer build |
| Cleric | Condemnation, Earth's Punishment, Chain of Torment, Debilitating Mark, Divine Aura, Light of Regeneration, Noble Aura. Point priority (community reports): Condemnation to 20 before anything else; Earth's Punishment window is where every Condemnation reset lands; healing skills are leveled for coverage, not burst. | Cleric build |
Roadmap
- Interactive allocator — planned, with no date until the per-level point-cost table clears two-source verification (the level-45 totals currently conflict between sources, and we do not build calculators on unverified math).
- Gear & stats module — after gear data passes the same two-source gate.
- Preset export/import — a community request we are tracking; no source covers it yet.
FAQ
Is there an official AION 2 build planner?
No official planner ships with the game — what exists are community tools (character builders and planners on third-party sites) and the in-game Daevanion boards themselves. This page is a source-checked reference for the same decisions those tools automate; the interactive allocator follows once the cost tables above are cross-verified.
How many skill points does a level 45 character have?
The structured database says 203; a creator guide counts roughly 300 including faction dungeon rewards. Both are community statements, and we present both rather than picking one — the honest answer is "between 200 and 300, depending on which sources you trust," and either way it is far less than the 462 a full max-out would take.
When do Stigma slots unlock?
Levels 22, 27, 32, and 37 — one slot per milestone, four total in Season 1 global. Plan your Stigma choices before 22 so the first slot is not wasted on a skill you will replace.
